Middlemarch Environmental undertook the ecology assessments required at Great Shelford. A summer non – maternity bat roost for brown long eared bats was identified.

Middlemarch carried out the necessary bat surveys required for this development, which included bat licence application, reinstating the common pipistrelle bat roost within the existing cavity wall and roof space of the building after works had been completed. In addition to this, by utilising the roof space of a proposed bin store on site, we were able to save the client the cost of constructing a new building just for the bats.
